The Second Split

So, I have decided that I will be splitting my “novel” into four different books, with the goal of 80-100k per book. That would put the quadrilogy (shut up, it’s a word!) around 350k-380k words. Quite an undertaking, considering that I’m only at 270k, though I guess that is only one more story to write.

And who do I have to thank for this? Tara. Damn her.
I had originally planned to write until the end of the story by the end of the month, but that is (obviously) not happening now. In fact, it will be a while before I write in earnest again. There would be too much to write, considering that I have barely started Book 4. I’m seriously only about 6k words in, plus what I had written before, about 10-15k of which is actually useful.
So I have a ways to go.
My plan right now is to switch to editing mode and to go over the first three books. There is a lot of editing and adjusting/balancing that needs to be done on the currently written works. There is a lot good there (I think), but a LOT that can be improved upon.

So I guess it was a productive NaNo.
